Macabre video games are ones where death, despair, and other disturbing content feel inescapable and often suffocating. While the horror genre is inevitably notorious for being the main perpetrators responsible for some of the most disturbing, morbid, and gruesome games on the market, macabre video games are not limited to one genre or style of gameplay.
